The BYU Law School is once again hosting the Law & Corpus Linguistics Conference in Provo, UT on February 3-4, 2022. This would be a great opportunity for you to meet linguists, legal scholars, lawyers and judges in this area and see how corpus linguistics is being applied to legal issues. A couple of things to take special note of:
- Registration for this conference is free and open to both graduate and undergraduate students: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSciJXjoxHHCZJ2arld_TPfgx0pfml3LrgCya-8ZkaL2ZWwI_Q/viewform
- Meals will be provided for conference attendees.
- There will be a Linguist Workshop on February 3rd to introduce linguists to the legal issues that linguistics has been or could be used to address.
Feel free to reach out to Prof. Brett Hashimoto (brett_hashimoto@byu.edu) if you have any questions at all about any of this. I hope you'll consider attending the conference!
