Apply for an Internship

LING 688R Internship

TESOL international students are asked to participate in an internship experience at the ELC to fulfill their required credits during the summer. To sign up for the ELC internship follow the three steps below in addition to contacting Ben McMurry as described below.

All students, regardless of nationality status, who want to do a domestic internship through our department must follow these steps:

  1. Fill out and return to Nicole Bay (nicole_bay@byu.edu) the MA Internship Prospectus form. For TESOL international students, Ben McMurry from the ELC (ben_mcmurry@byu.edu) can provide information for the onsite supervisor and pay.
  2. Submit an application to the Experiential Learning office at experience.byu.edu/do-the-application.
  3. Meet with Nicole Bay (nicole_bay@byu.edu) to discuss the requirements of Ling 688R.

Once students have completed those three steps, Nicole will approve their internship on the Experiential Learning site, and registration opens up for the students to add the class themselves.
